Welcome to Discrete Math Online                                 Discrete Math Syllabus

What is Discrete Math?

Discrete mathematics is non continuous mathematics which means that concepts are not building consistently through concepts.  Through this online experience you will learn about election theory, fair division, matrix operations, graphs, subgraphs, trees, counting and probability, matrices, and recursion.  Once you learn chapter one, this information is not needed to learn chapter 2, and so on.  This is why this course is "discrete."

Online Experience

Getting the most from Discrete Math Online.

Use the tabs on above to move through the chapters which are in the order in which you will learn them.  Each lesson page has the objective for the chapter as well as reviews for that chapter.  Scrolling over each chapter will bring up a drop down menu containing the chapter sections.  Within each chapter section contains the section objectives, notes, assignments, and lesson videos.  Make sure to write down the "pay attention to" items before watching the videos so that you take effective notes from each video you watch. Each video can be paused and review at any time so that you can use them to review as well as to work ahead if you chose to do so.
